Instead of exhaustingly hunting for tickets and crowding into stadiums, many young people are dressing up and jetting off to Phu Quoc to catch a visual

When the Pearl Island Transforms into a Mega Concert

In the days leading up to National Day, the entire Sunset Town transforms into a shimmering stage to celebrate Independence Day. Thousands of red flags with yellow stars flutter from balconies, stretching along the streets and cascading down to the harbor. The Kiss Bridge becomes a floating "runway" over the ocean, resplendent with two rows of national flags proudly waving in the sea breeze. Every camera angle captures absolutely flawless, picture-perfect moments.

Joining the crowds flocking to the southern island this holiday, Truong Thu Huyen, a tourist from Da Nang, couldn't hide her excitement: "I've seen Sunset Town and the Kiss Bridge trending all over social media for a long time, but arriving here, I am truly overwhelmed by this magnificent architectural 'stage'”.

The Gen Z traveler confided: "Everywhere in Sunset Town is shaded by the national flag. Every few steps, you find a corner overflowing with proud red. Seeing these images makes me incredibly emotional, as if I'm carrying the national flag right in my heart. I will definitely return to explore more during the upcoming Lunar New Year”.

Also visiting the southern island this holiday, Jay, a tourist from China, admitted that Sunset Town gave him a "visual shock":

"Of all the places I've been, Sunset Town is my absolute favorite because of its incredibly impressive architectural colors. The moment that made me say 'wow' and immediately pull out my phone to record was while riding the Hon Thom cable car. Taking in the panoramic view of the town, the ocean, and the brilliant sunshine from above, everything appeared as majestic as a colossal outdoor stage," Jay recounted enthusiastically.

Arriving at Pearl Island right on National Day, the male tourist was particularly impressed by the festive atmosphere: "Vibrant red is everywhere. Watching how the Vietnamese celebrate their holiday, I can clearly feel the strong bond and radiant happiness on every face. It is an incredibly free and joyful atmosphere."

If Sunset Town is the main stage, then the "merch" for this super concert is designed in an equally unique way. Instead of holding lightsticks or banners, young people are eagerly hunting down the famous French pastries shaped like the national flag at Eric Kayser bakery, or drinks "wearing" conical hats painted with the flag at Apollo Cafe. Every meticulously crafted little detail turns a stroll around the town into a delightful scavenger hunt for national pride.

Ahead of the main evening event, the daytime "tracklist" of experiences takes visitors soaring across the sea and sky of the southern island on the world's longest 3-rope cable car. The Sun World Hon Thom station welcomes guests with a passionate festive spirit. Right on the premises, a pre-installed "Ticket of Pride" photo frame has quickly become a "must-have" check-in spot for the youth to mark their presence at this one-of-a-kind September 2nd super event.

An Explosive "Encore" of Light, Music, and Pride

If the daytime is an upbeat pop song, then as the southern island lights up, the "super concert" truly hits its climax. Phu Quoc now transforms into a fiery rock stage.

At the massive over-water stage, the "Symphony of the Sea" show pushes the atmosphere hotter than ever. Pounding music combined with flyboard and jetski acrobatics tearing through the night sky make it impossible for the audience to look away. The most "goosebump-inducing" moment occurs when fireworks unexpectedly burst into a glowing heart shape in the sky, carrying the message "The Fatherland in Our Hearts." The overwhelming emotion at this moment easily rivals any massive fan singalong at international music festivals.

Continuing the euphoria, the multi-sensory show "Kiss of the Sea" mesmerizes the audience with an enchanting realm of fire, water, and 3D mapping technology. On the world-record water screen, the majestic image of the golden star appears alongside the words "Touch the Pride," perfectly resonating with the artistic fireworks illuminating the night sky.

Ms. Lee, a South Korean tourist, couldn't hide her excitement after experiencing the full performance: "It was such an incredible and breathtaking show. I truly admire the engineers and creators who put together such a grandiose masterpiece. This is an experience I will definitely recommend to everyone.

When asked about her plans to return, Lee enthusiastically added: "Next time I come to Phu Quoc, I will definitely bring my close friends who are dancers along”.

In particular, on September 2nd, visitors will have another memorable experience when the Hillside Residence buildings simultaneously light up between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. The illuminated windows are carefully arranged to form the historic number "2-9", serving as a dazzling tribute to National Day.
