Golden Bridge continues to be named among the world’s most beautiful bridges

Recently, the UK-based magazine Time Out ranked Golden Bridge among the world’s most beautiful bridges. The publication also described Da Nang as one of the best places to visit in Asia in 2026, noting that the surreal stroll amid the clouds at Golden Bridge is one of the reasons visitors “fall in love” with the city.

Recently, the international travel site Time Out announced its list of “The world’s most beautiful bridges.” The periodic ranking honors architectural works that achieve a perfect combination of engineering and aesthetics, serving as tourism symbols of their respective countries. The list is selected by experts based on three criteria: unique architectural design, harmony with the surrounding landscape, and influence across international media.

Surpassing many long-established global icons, Golden Bridge is the only representative from Vietnam to make the list, ranking fourth worldwide and emerging as a highlight of Southeast Asia. This is not the first time the structure has been honored, but its continued recognition years after its debut demonstrates the enduring appeal of a modern tourism icon.

Golden Bridge – the iconic tourism bridge in Da Nang – is the only representative from Vietnam to be named among the world’s most beautiful bridges

In the article, writer Dewi Nurjuwita describes the journey across Golden Bridge as a surreal experience, where visitors feel as though they are floating among the clouds. The image of two giant stone hands lifting the curved span into the sky is considered the defining detail – transforming the bridge from a scenic walkway into a symbolic architectural work, where landscape and design blend to create a striking visual effect.

Located within the Sun World Ba Na Hills complex at an elevation of more than 1,400 meters above sea level, Golden Bridge stretches nearly 150 meters, with gold-plated railings and a soft, mountainside-embracing design. When clouds gather, the bridge appears suspended in midair; on clear days, panoramic views of the Ba Na mountains extend to the horizon. The ever-changing interplay of light, clouds, and mist creates visual moments that make each visit a distinct experience. Beyond Golden Bridge, Sun World Ba Na Hills also offers visitors compelling attractions such as world-class indoor and outdoor shows, enchanting castles rising above seas of clouds, and impressive structures including Helios Waterfall, the highest-altitude brewery in Vietnam, and year-round flower gardens in full bloom…

Since its debut in 2018, Golden Bridge has quickly become a global media phenomenon, frequently featured by international news agencies and publications such as Reuters, BBC, Daily Mail and The Guardian. At the World Travel Awards – often described as the “Oscars of the travel industry” – the structure was honored as the “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge” for four consecutive years, affirming its value beyond that of a conventional attraction.

On social media platforms, Golden Bridge has become a “must-go” destination for visitors to Da Nang. Images of the bridge floating amid the clouds continue to be widely shared, appearing in promotional videos, architectural rankings, and international travel publications.

“Walking on clouds” and checking in at Golden Bridge have become a “must-try” experience when visiting Da Nang

Beyond praising a specific structure, Time Out also suggested that Da Nang will be one of the best places to visit in Asia in 2026, emphasizing that “the sky-high stroll is part of the draw.” This shows that Golden Bridge is not only visually striking for photographs, but also plays a role in positioning the city on the global tourism map.

Its continued presence in the world’s top four once again affirms the vitality of this distinctive architectural icon. Under the sky of Ba Na, the image of the golden bridge upheld in midair remains compelling enough to inspire travelers to see it for themselves – to experience it firsthand, rather than simply through a screen.
