DIFF 2026 Grand Finale: spend the day at Ba Na Hills, end the night with a spectacular fireworks show

With only a few days to go until the Grand Finale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 brings the most explosive "All-Stars" season ever to a close, visitor numbers in the city are expected to reach their peak. Among travel enthusiasts, one itinerary is quickly becoming known as the best value for money: spend the day enjoying everything Sun World Ba Na Hills has to offer, then head back to the city centre in the evening to immerse yourself in a dazzling celebration of fireworks and music along the Han River.

The perfect itinerary for the Grand Finale night

After five spectacular competition nights, the two outstanding finalists, Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display (China) and Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal), will face off in the ultimate showdown.

The Chinese team revealed that it will present a performance lasting approximately 21 minutes, celebrating Da Nang as a safe, modern and friendly tourism city. Set to the soundtrack of 10 well-known songs, the display will tell the story of a youthful and dynamic Da Nang through the language of light and music. Making its third consecutive appearance in the DIFF Grand Finale, the team shared that this special performance is also intended as a gesture of gratitude to the Organising Committee and audiences who have supported them throughout the journey.

Morning at Ba Na, evening at DIFF – the itinerary travel enthusiasts are recommending to each other this summer

Meanwhile, Macedos Pirotecnia will continue to showcase its signature strength in storytelling through fireworks, the hallmark that earned the team the Most Innovative Award at DIFF 2025. Entering the Grand Finale with the theme "United Horizons: The Symphony of Convergence," the team will take audiences on a journey through Da Nang where nature, culture and innovation come together, bringing this DIFF season to an emotional close.

Beyond a showdown between two fireworks powerhouses, the Grand Finale is also being likened to a "super concert", featuring some of Vietnam's leading artists, including My Tam, Tung Duong, Isaac, Bui Lan Huong and Thu Hang. The music festival will begin before the fireworks light up the Han River skyline, promising a complete artistic celebration lasting for hours.

That popularity also means the city centre usually starts becoming crowded from late afternoon onwards. Instead of waiting around for the fireworks to begin, many visitors choose to spend the entire day at Sun World Ba Na Hills before returning to the city centre in the early evening.

Located just about an hour from central Da Nang, Ba Na Hills offers a completely different world with its cool climate all year round. The journey begins with a cable car ride soaring above primeval forests, waterfalls and seas of clouds, an experience that has become one of the destination's defining icons.

At the summit of Chua Mountain, visitors can spend the entire day checking in at the Golden Bridge, French Village, Moon Castle and Eclipse Square, exploring Fantasy Park, or admiring the vibrant yellow sunflower fields in full bloom. Throughout the day, a series of complimentary performances such as Sun Fest Parade, After Glow, Love in the Sky and Malambo take place continuously from morning until evening, filling the entire resort with a festive atmosphere.

By late afternoon, as visitors leave Ba Na and return to the city centre, they arrive just in time to join the crowds gathering along both banks of the Han River, enjoy the grand music festival before the fireworks begin, and await the thrilling finale between the season's two best fireworks teams.

A powerful ticket offer for young visitors at Sun World Ba Na Hills

If the DIFF Grand Finale is the highlight of Da Nang's summer, then from July 10, Ba Na Hills will also offer young travellers a compelling reason to plan their trip.

From July 10 to August 15, 2026, all visitors aged 25 and under (born in 2001 or later) who present valid identification will be eligible to purchase a cable car ticket for only VND 500,000, half the regular listed price of VND 1,000,000.

Visitors aged 25 and under can enjoy everything Ba Na has to offer from just VND 500,000

In addition, several other promotional packages will be available during the same period. The combo including admission and a buffet lunch is priced at only VND 800,000, while the combo including admission and a dining voucher starts from just VND 750,000. This is considered one of the most attractive promotional programmes ever offered to young visitors at Sun World Ba Na Hills.

What makes many visitors describe Ba Na Hills as truly "worth every penny" is not only the promotional pricing but also the value included in a single ticket. This summer, Ba Na Hills has continuously introduced new experiences, including the Lumiere light art space, the French bakery Eric Kayser, and a series of activities in collaboration with Arena of Valor, all expected to become major attractions for young visitors throughout July.

In addition, every cable car ticket also comes with attractive dining benefits. Visitors can choose to enjoy a complimentary 0.5-litre Sun Kraft Beer at the brewery or redeem it for one of the signature pastries from the newly launched French bakery Eric Kayser at Ba Na Hills.

With the "morning at Ba Na, evening at DIFF" itinerary, visitors can experience nearly everything that makes Da Nang so appealing in summer, all within a single day: enjoying the refreshing atmosphere atop Chua Mountain, exploring iconic landmarks, immersing themselves in the vibrant festival ambience, and ending the day beneath the brilliantly illuminated sky over the Han River during the DIFF 2026 Grand Finale.
