TOTO Vietnam officially opened its second Vietnamese showroom in Hanoi, after its first in Ho Chi Minh City, directly operated by this group.

The launch of TOTO Showroom in Hanoi is like a predestined relationship with Hanoi people. From here on, we hope to create true values ​​of a new life, said Mr. Suzuki Hiroyuki - General Director   of TOTO Vietnam in an exclusive interview granted to Business Forum Magazine’s reporter.

- What has led to the decision to select Hanoi as the location of TOTO's next showroom in Vietnam, sir?

TOTO, from its very first General Director   over more than 100 years ago, has always taken the slogan "Sincerity first", by providing high-quality products and services, creating an enriched, comfortable and good life for   consumers.

TOTO Vietnam, through Hanoi showroom, triggers such guidelines to bring customers a space to display and experience hygienic technology and culture, thereby conveying the message of a good, clean and comfortable life to Vietnamese consumers in their own homes.

Designed and built for   more than two years, TOTO’s showroom in Hanoi is expected to become the center for   displaying, experiencing top-notch sanitary products and technologies, and providing sanitary wares/bathrooms for   Vietnamese users. This is not only a strategic step of TOTO in the Hanoi market but also its commitment to a better life.

- Over 100 years of its establishment and development, TOTO has been getting the trust and satisfaction of consumers around the world for   its outstanding products. What kind of experience will TOTO bring to Hanoi consumers, sir?

Hanoi showroom displays products in different segments, from modern sanitary supplies such as Neorest smart toilets, Washlet electronic wash lids to common products such as toilets, bathtubs, sinks, showers ... Display areas will help visitors have a vivid visual experience. In addition, many specific products for   the public area are also displayed to architects and designers for   reference.    

In particular, the display area of ​​9 sample rooms with different design styles and sizes will help customers get a practical reference and visualization of the appropriate bathroom space depending on their preferences and needs. The collections of bathrooms and toilets are inspired by classical to modern design trends, helping all types of customers, who are consumers, project owners or   interior   designers, architects, easily visualize and enjoy the endless experience.

- Many sanitary wares, which are imported into Vietnam in large quantities, with very low selling prices, fiercely compete with domestically-made ones. This fact has made many local manufacturers hard to sell their products. Do you face this difficulty? What solutions do you take to boost your product consumption?

TOTO's products have been highly appreciated for   their quality and advanced technology; offering comfort, cleanliness, aesthetic and diversified designs, and user-friendliness.

TOTO's high-end products such as the Neorest smart toilet and the Washlet electronic wash lid, which have been widely recognized around the world, have ranked number one globally for   many consecutive years.

In terms of users, people are also more and more invested in improving the quality of their life and cared more carefully about their homes.    

However, many products of unknown origin and not meticulously calculated in terms of performance, quality, adversely impact the behavior   of consumers.

- In the coronavirus outbreak, online purchases have increased more than ever before. How does TOTO get access to this trend?  

In the new normal, we become more and more aware of how to provide many clean and antibacterial products to our customers. This is also a major   advantage of TOTO. Therefore, we have been promoting non-touch products (such as automatic sensor   taps, smart toilets), sanitary wares with antibacterial technology, anti-fouling, automatic washing covers, which all go towards a good, clean, and comfortable life for   people. With a wide distribution network across the country, TOTO and its distributors have always improved the methods of ordering, including online purchases.

TOTO always aspires to pursue and apply the most optimal technologies to its products, creating a culture of clean hygiene and satisfying various needs of customers. TOTO is proud to own the Washlet electronic wash lid, which is ranked number one in global sales for   many years, with 50 million caps sold in 2019 worldwide. In addition, shower technologies such as warm spa, comfort wave, active wave are also vividly reproduced in the Showroom.

- Sustainable development is an important motto of TOTO in Vietnam. How will it be implemented, sir?

We have made many efforts and seriously invested in R&D so that our products are not only convenient and aesthetically pleasing but also save the maximum of resources such as electricity, water ... to become environmentally friendly. In each market, we have always oriented our partners, internal personnel, customers towards charitable and social activities, investment in education support... for   purpose of sustainable development.

In the Showroom in Hanoi, TOTO also holds a position for   TOTO Information Center (TOTO Information Center). Founded in 2016, the Center is a place to exchange, learn and organize useful activities for   the design and architecture community, igniting the passion of the Vietnamese young generation.

- What is TOTO's orientation in the Vietnam market in the coming time, sir?

Showroom TOTO Hanoi, together with one in Ho Chi Minh City is the place to display and help customers experience hygiene products, technology, and culture at the highest level. We will continue to build an extensive distribution network with improved service quality to best meet the needs of our customers.

At the same time, we will promote R&D to give Vietnamese consumers a better quality of life, it is also the mission that we have always pursued.
