Success from "double value"

The marketplace is often referred to as the battlefield, so it seems that kindness is a strange thing. But the Ancient Greek Author, Aesop (Aesop’s Fables) said: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted..”.

The products are exhibited at the Kind Autumn market.

Over the past 15 years of working for social organizations, I have the opportunity to meet and work on community development projects and initiatives. However, the number of initiatives that can be successfully developed and bring about a long-term sustainable impact to the community, is not considerable. That's what bothered me.

From sowing "kindness" ...

Vietnam's economy is considered by many organizations one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Along with that, the competition in business is getting fiercer. The openness of the economy up to 200% of GDP has made Vietnam's economy face many challenges natural resource degradation, environmental pollution, and the decline of consumer confidence in the quality of various products, especially agricultural products, and healthy lifestyles.

Entering the new decade with ed natural resources, the businesses are increasingly concerned about production activities associated with resource protection, environmental protection, spreading good values, going towards a civilized and modern community. The trend of green living is increasingly popular and spread in the community with the smallest acts in everyday life.

With such a mind, I have dedicated myself to becoming an entrepreneur who is engaged in green development, community development, high-quality indigenous products, and promoting a green lifestyle.

We have implemented many projects for community support such as the Project for promoting businesswomen in Lao Cai province to expand the business as done by the Women's Union of Lao Cai province, with technical advice Green Development Support Company; the Project for strengthening the resilience and responsiveness of coronavirus pandemic- hit ethnic women in Bac Kan and Dak Nong provinces, Vietnam, as funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)...

For example, Mrs. H'Lan the Ma ethnic group and Mrs. Vi Thi Thanh, who led the farmers of the same interest, were supported by us to establish the Dak R'mang Clean Agricultural Cooperative (Dak Glong District, Dak Nong province) in 2020. In 6 months of 2020, our program supported 100 groups in Bac Kan and Dak Nong with 1,950 members, of which 72% are ethnic minority women doing better business and recovering in the Covid-19 pandemic.

The enthusiastic women always want to bring clean products to their customers as well as various benefits to the entire community, but they lack experience in production and marketing. We have accompanied various cooperatives to identify difficulties in chicken farming at the moment and analyze available resources through a training and hands-on process for 6 months.

Thanks to that process, we helped various cooperatives to identify the difficulties and decided to switch chickens to pheasant raising and diversify garden farming.

... to reaping the "golden season"

I always think that women need to take twice as much effort as men to launch a successful start-up. “I have ever seen many sad tears of a businesswoman. Leaving a comfortable and stable job in a State agency, she started a business with a burning passion for business. However, she is very lonely in her journey”.

Saying so to see that there are countless challenges that female entrepreneurs must overcome, even the trade-offs for their happiness. For me, promoting the community resources surely help create economic values. I and my associates up to this point are assessed by many persons to be always successful and happy. Because, we can live and work in the way we like, and discover our latent abilities.

Training and guiding ethnic minority people to develop resource mobilization plans in Lao Cai 2020.

For Ms. Vi Thi Thanh's cooperative - one of 100 groups supported by us to recover well, recorded strong revenue growth (over 40% of members with revenue growth over the same period and 13% of members with revenue growth over 100%). During this difficult period, we trained enterprises and groups to build adaptive business plans in the Covid-19 period, offered training courses in marketing and market access for local agricultural products, and promoted the kind value of customers, product experience through the nice autumn green fair.

After the said fair, the customers could interact with ethnic minorities as well as their stories to make high-quality products. As a result, businesses have succeeded to sell and connect new partners. That shows the attractiveness of clean agricultural products, native products of Bac Kan and Dak Nong provinces to various customers when they witness the production methods, community stories, and real value.

The dual value that we bring is that customers can use high-quality products, contributing to the economic development of various cooperatives, ethnic minority businesswomen who can live well on their own land.

The sustainable development of various companies in particular and the economy in general starts spreading acts of kindness. The kindness- bassed entrepreneurs will help create a sustainable foundation for a healthy business environment, integrity business and reinforce customers’ trust.

Leading your staff with kindness and gratitude in all circumstances

We create a comfortable working environment and a culture of mutual trust, thereby helping the company grow. Being grateful for the good opportunities and good people at the job is important. However, you would be grateful for both the challenges and obstacles that come up with you. In the Covid-10 phase, we had implemented two projects to support more than 9,000 start-up women to develop adaptive livelihoods.

Becoming a trusted person and practicing kindness everywhere

Recently, I received a phone call a partner I haven't seen in the past 5 years. He has a new project that needs my cooperation, as he remembers that I am always efficient and enthusiastic at work. After that, I realized that the seeds of kindness and enthusiasm you sowed in the past, often proliferate at unforeseen times. I learned that optimism, kindness, and gratitude could easily spread and touch the hearts of those who are around you, your customers.
