The program was organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation's Association of Importers and Exporters, and Vietjet Airlines, with the participation of numerous Russian representatives and more than 100 Vietnamese and Russian businesses.
The event took place against the backdrop of the continuously strengthening and developing traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation over the past 76 years. Building on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2012, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries continues to expand, creating new momentum for the business communities of both sides.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan affirmed the enormous potential for cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation and emphasized the role of the business community in realizing strategic cooperation directions, contributing to promoting bilateral economic, trade, and investment growth in the new period.
According to the Minister of Finance, relevant ministries and agencies, VCCI, and trade and investment promotion partners need to continue supporting the business communities of both sides to make good use of the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement in order to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.
One of the highlights of the program was the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between businesses of the two countries, witnessed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and high-ranking leaders from both sides.
The event included the signing of cooperation agreements in the oil and gas sector between PetroVietnam and Zarubezhneft, as well as the announcement of numerous memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the fields of energy, science and technology, infrastructure development, digital transformation, healthcare, tourism, and investment.

The agreements exchanged at the program not only contribute to expanding economic cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation but also lay the foundation for the implementation of specific projects, bringing practical benefits to businesses and the economies of both countries in the future.
In particular, during the program, Vietjet Airlines announced plans to open three new routes connecting Vietnam and the Russian Federation: Da Nang-Moscow, Nha Trang-Kazan, and Nha Trang-Novosibirsk.
The expansion of the flight network is expected to contribute to strengthening air connectivity, promoting people-to-people exchanges, developing tourism, and facilitating trade and investment between the two countries.
Following the plenary session, the program continued with a trade and investment promotion session, introducing Vietnam's investment and business environment and opportunities for cooperation with the Russian Federation market. Businesses from both countries participated in networking, direct connections, and discussions about specific projects and cooperation opportunities in various fields.
The Vietnam-Russia Trade and Investment Connection Program 2026 further affirms the determination of the Governments, agencies, organizations, VCCI, and business communities of both countries to promote substantive, effective, and sustainable economic cooperation, making a positive contribution to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the new development phase.
Earlier, at the Russia-ASEAN Business Forum held on the same day, VCCI signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, to strengthen support activities for the business communities of both countries in the future.
