Attracting Investment into a “National Growth Engine”

Under the direction of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Hue City People’s Committee, the Business Forum Magazine, the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), the Hue Department of Industry and Trade, and other relevant agencies will, for the first time, bring the Regional Logistics Forum to Central Vietnam.

The event is expected to gather over 400 delegates from ministries, regulatory bodies, senior experts from institutes and research organizations, and notably logistics and import-export enterprises from both domestic and international markets. It promises to generate strategic insights, foster practical linkages, and channel new investment flows into the logistics sector of the North Central and Central Coastal Regions.

Entering its sixth year, the Regional Logistics Forum in Hue is not only an annual industry event but also carries the special mission of advancing cross-border logistics integration, positioning the Central region as a pivotal logistics hub on both the national and regional maps. Particularly, the forum will assess and propose development roadmaps for the establishment of regional free trade zones.

According to the 2021–2030 Regional Development Plan, the North Central and Central Coastal Region has been identified as a “growth engine,” leading the nation in the maritime economy. Leveraging its network of seaports, international border gates, airports, and East–West economic corridors, the region is set to become a major logistics hub connecting North–South and East–West routes, contributing over 6% of the country’s total logistics revenue by 2050.

At the heart of the region, Hue City is steadily asserting its strategic position with a series of infrastructure breakthroughs. From Chan May Port to Phu Bai International Airport, from the Chan May–Lang Co Economic Zone to inter-regional transport routes, all essential conditions for the development of green, smart, and efficient logistics are gradually converging.

With the participation of leaders from ministries and agencies, domestic and international experts, as well as logistics, import-export, and infrastructure investment enterprises, the forum will focus on three core discussion areas: Finalizing the cross-border logistics development strategy; Connecting next-generation transport corridors; Proposing mechanisms to attract logistics investment, including models for free trade zones in Chan May–Lang Co and other suitable areas, creating breakthrough growth for the region.

Beyond setting a vision, the forum will provide a platform for practical voices to be heard. Businesses will directly share operational challenges, propose solutions to policymakers, and connect with new cooperation opportunities within the evolving logistics ecosystem of the North Central and Central Coastal Region.

The feedback and contributions from the forum will serve as an important basis for policy improvement and shaping logistics development priorities for the coming phase.

To help realize these goals and ensure the sustainable and substantive development of regional logistics, under the guidance of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Hue City People’s Committee, the Business Forum Magazine, in collaboration with the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), the Hue Department of Industry and Trade, and related partners, will organize: The Sixth Regional Logistics Forum: Cross-border Logistics: Leveraged growth to drive the North Central and Central Coastal Regions

A Multi-Value Networking Platform

By joining the 6th Regional Logistics Forum, businesses will not only gain access to the latest industry trends but also have the opportunity to directly share operational challenges and propose practical solutions with policymakers and leading experts. This is a rare dialogue platform for the business community to discuss and collaborate in untangling bottlenecks in operations, planning, and regulatory frameworks — all aimed at building a more efficient, transparent, and sustainable logistics environment.

Beyond the strategic discussions, the Forum also serves as a prime branding platform for companies to assert their pioneering position, enhance access to potential customers, and promote their brand, products, and services. This visibility will be amplified through the Forum’s printed publications, digital media, and social platforms—strengthening brand appeal and credibility in the eyes of partners and the market.

Notably, with the presence of over 400 logistics enterprises, alongside manufacturers and import-export companies from across the North Central and Central Coastal Regions and neighbouring areas, the Forum is expected to create a multi-dimensional networking ecosystem. From expanding partnerships and finding new clients to forging value chain linkages, every connection will be fostered through direct networking sessions, side meetings, and dedicated exhibition spaces at the event.

With a vision for regional and cross-border connectivity, the 6th Regional Logistics Forum: Cross-border Logistics – Leveraged growth to drive the North Central and Central Coastal Regions is a pivotal gathering point for leaders, experts, and businesses. It will foster a green, modern, and sustainable logistics ecosystem. From policy dialogue to investment matchmaking, the event opens doors for Hue and the wider region to rise as a central logistics hub while helping businesses elevate their brands, expand networks, and integrate deeper into regional and global value chains.
