Expectations of the business community for VCCI
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) affirms its core role in representing and promoting the business community and the business environment in Vietnam.
Mr. DO VAN VE – Chairman of Hung Yen Business Association: VCCI as a solid fulcrum for businesses

Over 63 years of formation and development, VCCI has affirmed its position as a national organization representing and protecting the rights and interests of the business community.
VCCI is not only a bridge but also a “friend” and a “protector” of the legitimate rights of entrepreneurs in the international arena.
For businesses in Hung Yen, VCCI’s role is clearly reflected through well-organized investment promotion activities, helping enterprises access international markets and find strategic partners; supporting Hung Yen enterprises in enhancing governance capacity, accessing free trade agreements (FTAs), and especially improving the province’s PCI index.
It can be said that PCI is an extremely important “lever” for provincial governance. Through analyzing and publishing the PCI annually, VCCI has compelled localities to face the truth, self-reflect and adjust their administrative apparatus.
In Hung Yen as well as many other provinces and cities, PCI has created a positive competition in improving investor confidence. Administrative procedures have been streamlined, transparency has been enhanced, and the attitude of local authorities toward businesses has fundamentally shifted from “management” to “accompaniment”.
We expect VCCI to continue strongly promoting its role as an independent and objective policy advocacy body.
Mr. NGUYEN VAN HUNG – Chairman of Phu Tho Business Association: VCCI spreads the spirit of policy advocacy and innovation

In addition to its role as a connector, VCCI also spreads the spirit of policy advocacy and innovation, contributing to shaping a transparent business environment and creating momentum for the development of the Phu Tho business community in the new phase.
VCCI has helped foster that spirit through many practical activities, such as sharing information, organizing forums and seminars, connecting businesses with new trends such as digital transformation, green economy and modern governance. Importantly, VCCI helps businesses understand that innovation is not something distant, but a continuous process of adapting and upgrading themselves.
For the Phu Tho business community, we are also entering a new phase of transformation. At the 2026–2031 Congress, the Association agreed on the policy of renaming itself as the Phu Tho Business Federation. This is not merely a change of name, but reflects the desire to elevate the organization, expand its representative role and strengthen connectivity within the business community.
On that journey, we hope VCCI will continue to accompany us as a reliable support, both conveying the voice of businesses and helping orient and inspire the spirit of innovation in the local business community.
Mr. NGUYEN HUY HUNG – Standing Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Logistics Association: Strongly improving the business environment

Throughout its development journey, VCCI has always been a trusted national organization, a solid support for the business community and entrepreneurs in Vietnam. It is not only a representative body but also an organization that helps entrepreneurs and enterprises pioneer innovation for the development of the entire economy.
In the context of a constantly fluctuating market with many intertwined challenges, VCCI not only supports businesses in expanding markets domestically and internationally, but is also a reliable support for the business community in enhancing governance capacity and orienting the future. Especially for SMEs that still face many difficulties such as lack of capital, governance capacity and technology… VCCI always pays attention to sharing and accompanying businesses to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship on the foundation of “learning in practice to do in practice”.
Entering a new phase with many changes, the business community in general and enterprises in the Dong Nai Logistics Association in particular believe that VCCI, with its pioneering spirit, will always accompany Vietnamese entrepreneurs and enterprises on the economic front, building a strong business community that serves as a pillar of the national economy.
Mr. NGUYEN DUY THANH – Standing Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Apartment Management Association (HCMO): Promoting VCCI’s policy advocacy role

VCCI plays a very significant role in contributing to building a transparent and fair business environment, promoting international integration and enhancing competitiveness.
To continue its achievements, VCCI needs to further strengthen its role in policy advocacy, analyzing practical impacts, identifying shortcomings and proposing feasible solutions that businesses can apply; continue to listen and record more opinions and recommendations to accompany associations, thereby making recommendations to the State and management agencies to issue policies more suitable to reality.
VCCI needs to strengthen connections with industry associations, establish mechanisms in a transparent direction, apply digital technology to receive and process recommendations quickly; regularly publish reports evaluating provincial competitiveness, administrative reform indexes, business surveys and many specialized publications. Because VCCI’s reports are reliable references that help the Government and management agencies issue policies more aligned with reality. At the same time, publicize advocacy results and accompany businesses in long-term development orientation, thereby affirming its position as a “representative – advocate – companion” of the business community.
Mr. NGUYEN VAN THOI – Chairman of Thai Nguyen Business Association: Connecting the business community

In the context of the global economy undergoing complex fluctuations, VCCI’s role is becoming increasingly important.
Not only a national organization representing the business community, VCCI has been affirming its position as a persistent “bridge” connecting Vietnamese enterprises with the global economic flow.
For a province developing strongly in industry like Thai Nguyen, VCCI’s connection is of vital importance. VCCI has helped connect local enterprises with multinational corporations and strategic investors, opening gateways to international trade.
In particular, I highly appreciate VCCI’s role in removing obstacles related to land, tax and customs procedures, which have been listened to and resolved in a timely manner by the Government, creating conditions for businesses to “enter the market” more quickly and sustainably. We hope VCCI will continue to promote its role as a “strategic advisor” for the business community.
In the context where digital transformation and green transition are becoming vital requirements, we hope VCCI will strengthen resources to support local enterprises in technology and green finance.
We want VCCI to continue being an “extended arm” to promptly convey policy shortcomings from local realities to the central level, thereby removing difficulties for businesses in a timely manner.
Mr. MAI XUAN THANG – Chairman of Hai Phong Tourism Association: Bringing Hai Phong tourism to a higher level

Facing new opportunities and challenges, Hai Phong tourism is striving to transform from a national destination into an internationally recognized brand.
VCCI has a strong advantage in training. We hope VCCI will coordinate with the Association to design “tailor-made” training programs specifically for tourism enterprises, focusing on three pillars: financial and cash flow management, application of digital technology in operations and marketing, and international service standards. At the same time, VCCI should build specific business reports for each sector so that enterprises have a “compass” to orient their strategies. In the tourism sector, I see three issues that many businesses are concerned about.
First is reforming administrative procedures in licensing conditional tourism services. Second is tax and fee policies for the tourism sector. Third is mechanisms to encourage investment in green and sustainable tourism projects in Cat Ba and Do Son, the “gems” that need to be properly developed.
Mr. GIANG QUOC TRUNG – Chairman of the Members’ Council of UDIC: Policy bridge

In the context of 2026, when digital transformation and sustainable development (ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance) have become vital requirements, expectations of the business community toward VCCI are very high.
First, we expect VCCI to continue being a leader in the digital transformation revolution. Currently, many businesses are still struggling to apply AI and Big Data into production and business. VCCI needs more concrete and practical support programs to help businesses transform in a substantive way, rather than stopping at the level of awareness.
Second, regarding green growth. This is no longer an option but a requirement if businesses want to participate in global supply chains. We hope VCCI will be a focal point connecting businesses with international green finance and clean technology resources.
Finally, we expect VCCI to maintain its spirit of “accompaniment”. The world in 2026 is no longer linear; shocks from geopolitics or pandemics may occur at any time. At that time, businesses need a solid support to promptly reflect difficulties to the Party and the State.
For the business community, I believe each of us carries the aspiration to contribute to a strong Vietnam. Let us continue to be resilient, creative and take integrity as the foundation for development.
Mr. PHAM QUOC LONG – Deputy CEO of Gemadept Group, Chairman of the Vietnam Ship Agents, Brokers and Maritime Services Association: Leading role

In the current context, green transition is no longer an option but has become a mandatory requirement for businesses if they want to deeply participate in global supply chains. VCCI needs to play the role of a “leader” in shaping awareness and supporting businesses in building appropriate transition roadmaps.
In my view, VCCI can focus on three pillars.
First, providing information and international standards related to ESG and green logistics.
Second, connecting businesses with financial and technological resources.
Third, promoting policy dialogue to improve the legal framework supporting the transition. If these are done well, Vietnamese enterprises will not only adapt but can completely break through and participate in higher value segments.
In the new development phase, VCCI needs to continue affirming its role as a representative organization with a leading nature, not only reflecting but also shaping development trends of the business community.
Some orientations to consider include: strengthening strategic research capacity; promoting digital transformation in business support activities; and especially enhancing international connectivity at a higher level, associated with global initiatives on trade, investment and sustainable development.
