Mr. Pham Tan Cong assigned as Secretary of VCCI’s Party Union

Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Business Sector has been appointed by the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam as the Secretary of the Party Union of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for the term 2021-2026.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee (right) hands over the appointment decision to Mr. Pham Tan Cong.

Mr. Cong, born in 1963, in Hung Yen province, graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration. Previously, he held the following positions: Deputy Head of the Youth Front Committee of the Central Youth Union; Standing Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Young Entrepursors Association.

He also held the position of Director of the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talents of the Central Youth Union; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Young Talent Sponsor Council. Since March 2013, he has worked as Office Chief and then Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Business Sector.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam said that the activities of the VCCI are very heavy in the time to come, with many important objectives as activated by the 13th Party Congress Resolution. VCCI must continue to improve the quality of advice, recommendations on economic forecasts at home and abroad, while cooperating with associations to remove difficulties and obstacles for business community. VCCI must also continue the formation of Party organizations and Party members in the private sector.

Over 28 years of gathering and connecting businesses, Mr. Cong said he would be dedicated and committed to the development of VCCI, the business community, and Vietnamese entrepreneurs. In the coming time, VCCI will focus on research and propose solutions to support businesses to overcome Covid-19, continue to innovate and develop this organization.
