Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai re-elected as President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

At its first congress, the Presidium of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) unanimously re-elected Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai to serve as Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai will continue to hold the position of President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026 - 2031.

At the closing session of the Congress on the morning of May 13th, Vice President and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the VFF, Ha Thi Nga, reported on the results of the first congress of the 11th Central Committee of the VFF.

According to Ms. Nga, at the first congress, 70 people were nominated to participate in the Presidium of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The consultation process elected 12 members to the 11th Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including the President, Vice President- General Secretary, and other Vice Presidents.

Eight people were nominated by consultation to serve as non-executive Vice-Presidents of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

According to the election results, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo Member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, was re-elected by consensus to serve as President of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In her speech, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully thanked the Congress for its trust and confidence and respectfully thanked the Party, the State, the people, and the soldiers nationwide for their continued attention and trust in the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

On the morning of May 13th, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the term 2026-2031, officially closed after three days of work.

“The trust placed in us by the Congress is both an honor and a great responsibility. With all our determination, we pledge to be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People; to uphold political integrity and moral character; to be dedicated and committed to promoting democracy and wisdom; to uphold a high sense of responsibility; and to strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks; to maintain unity and solidarity; to be dynamic, creative, and innovative; to focus on implementing all tasks and solutions in a coordinated manner to successfully carry out the resolutions set forth by the Congress, contributing to consolidating the great national unity and clearly affirming the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new revolutionary period,” emphasized Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

To fulfill these important tasks, in addition to the collective efforts of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Politburo, the Party Secretariat, and the leaders of the Party and State; the coordination of central and local ministries, sectors, and organizations; and especially, she hopes to receive the support and companionship of the distinguished individuals, experts, scientists, and intellectuals from all social classes and strata; our compatriots abroad; and member organizations in the coming time.

 

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born on January 12, 1965, and her hometown is the former Ha Nam province (now Ninh Binh province).

Date of joining the Communist Party of Vietnam: January 19, 1991, official date: January 19, 1992.

Level of Political Theory: Advanced

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai was an alternate member of the Party Central Committee in the 10th term; a member of the Party Central Committee in the 11th, 12th, and 13th terms; Secretary of the Party Central Committee in the 13th and 14th terms; a member of the Politburo in the 13th and 14th terms ; and a member of the National Assembly in the 15th and 16th terms.

During her career, she served as the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association for two years, and then as the Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission for 10 years.

In April 2021, the Politburo assigned her as Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.

In May 2024, she was elected by the Party Central Committee to the Politburo of the 13th Party Congress.

In July 2024, she was appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee and was re-elected to this position at the City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

From November 2025 to the present, she has held the position of President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
