Napas, Mastercard and Payoo donate provide 2,010 free cancer screening packages and organize “zero-dong stalls” for vulnerable women

The National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), Mastercard and Viet Union Online Services Corporation (Payoo) organized a ceremony in Hanoi to present free screening packages for three common cancers in women – breast, cervical, and ovarian – along with HPV testing packages for vulnerable women, as part of the social welfare program “Tap to Share, Give Hope.”

At the event, NAPAS, Mastercard and Payoo awarded 2,010 free screening packages and HPV tests, a modern screening method that helps detect early risks of cervical cancer, supporting women in comprehensive health protection. The 2,010 packages were allocated to the Vietnam Women’s Union (1,000 packages) and the Youth Union of the HEPZA (1,010 packages), to be distributed directly to vulnerable women working in export processing zones and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, as well as migrant female workers living and working in these localities.

After the ceremony, 400 women will undergo cancer screening services at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. The remaining beneficiaries will receive screening services between December 2025 and the end of January 2026 at Thanh Nhan Hospital, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City Clinic and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital.

Running from October to December, the “Tap to Share, Give Hope 2025” program attracted significant community involvement through two key activities:

  • Tap-to-pay activity: Each successful transaction generated a contribution of VND 2,010 to the cancer screening fund. Throughout the campaign, more than 2.2 million tap-to-pay transactions using NAPAS and Mastercard cards were recorded at participating merchants.
  • “Healthy Miles, Healthy Life” running activity: Contributions of VND 2,010 per kilometer for online runs and VND 20,100 per kilometer for offline runs became a highlight that connected young people with charitable action. Offline running events attracted nearly 3,000 participants, completing almost 12,000 kilometers. The online running challenge recorded more than 4,400 registrations, with over 240,000 valid kilometers and more than 32,000 runs completed over 30 days.

Together with providing free screening packages, the program organized an online talk show titled “Early Cancer Screening – A Journey Toward Proactive Health”, featuring medical experts, inspirational speakers and program beneficiaries. The event garnered more than 2 million views across digital platforms, providing official medical knowledge and spreading positive messages about early cancer detection, while inspiring healthier, more compassionate and proactive lifestyles among hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese women.

The program also generated strong positive impact on social media, with tens of millions of impressions and interactions, more than 100 articles and reports from media agencies, hundreds of posts from volunteer communities, running groups, student organizations and official fanpages of universities and partner organizations.

The widespread support from the community, especially younger generations, helped the “Tap to Share, Give Hope 2025” program to successfully raise more than 4 billion Vietnamese dong, which will be used to provide the free cancer screening packages and HPV tests. In addition, the “Zero-Dong Stalls” initiative continues to be implemented at hospitals this year, providing essential items such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, shampoo, body wash and more, helping ease daily living needs and financial burdens for beneficiary women.

Commenting on the program’s significance, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy CEO of the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), stated: “Our three-year journey together with Payoo and Mastercard in the Tap to Share, Give Hope program has reaffirmed NAPAS’s commitment to sustainable development linked with meaningful contributions to the community. In particular, the cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Women’s Union for the 2025–2030 period further strengthens our long-term CSR orientation toward women. NAPAS believes the practical support from this program will continue to spread and create lasting positive impact on society.”

“‘Tap to Share, Give Hope 2025’ clearly embodies the spirit of “Doing well by doing good” that Mastercard pursues in every market it operates. Mastercard is honored to complete another year of this program with NAPAS and Payoo, witnessing its impressive growth in both community contributions and public engagement. This year, the program has not only raised society’s awareness of early cancer detection, but also inspired greater support through tangible actions, providing underprivileged women with essential healthcare services and empowering them to live healthier, happier lives,” said Mr. Sharad Jain, Country Manager of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, Mastercard.

Representing Payoo, Mr. Ngo Trung Linh, CEO of Viet Union Online Services Corporation, emphasized the program’s scalability: “Tap to Share, Give Hope 2025 will not stop here. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with like-minded organizations and businesses to develop annual social welfare programs that bring more opportunities to vulnerable people and contribute to the country’s sustainable development.”

With the joint efforts of NAPAS, Mastercard and Payoo, the “Tap to Share, Give Hope 2025” campaign concludes with tangible results, reaffirming the power of digital payments when directed toward the community. The three organizations remain committed to long-term efforts and to expanding programs that care for and support vulnerable women in the years ahead, contributing to a more compassionate, civilized and inclusive society.
