Nghe An Creative Entrepreneurship: Fostering sustainable growth
VCCI is committed to accompanying provinces, cities and Vietnam business community in developing the startup ecosystem, promoting innovation and sustainable economic growth.
This is shared by Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) at the Forum "Perfecting policies to promote innovative entrepreneurship - Driving force for economic development in Nghe An and the North Central Vietnam" within the framework of Techfest Nghe An 2025 held by VCCI in coordination with the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)
Nghe An breaks through with creative entrepreneurship
Nghe An is among the provinces with an early and sustained growth of the startup movement, according to Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, who spoke at the Forum. In 2013, VCCI hosted the Startup Exchange Program in Nghe An. In 2019, it held training programs on innovative startup consulting skills. Currently, it hosts the Startup Forum as part of Techfest. Over the years, the VCCI's operations in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and other provinces have also made a substantial contribution to enhancing the business climate and the competitiveness of local businesses.
In addition, Mr. Bui Trung Nghia also emphasized that 2024 and 2025 have marked strong efforts by localities in building and developing a startup ecosystem, closely linked with the national innovation system. Provincial and municipal authorities have implemented many policies to encourage businesses to improve their ability to absorb and apply technology, innovate business models and increase labor productivity. Major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Can Tho have made efforts to promote the innovative startup ecosystem, which has been evaluated, ranked, and recognized by the domestic and international business community.
VCCI highly appreciates and recognizes these efforts of the province by awarding the title "Outstanding locality in building a startup ecosystem in 2022", which it coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the vote.
In Nghe An, in recent years, many start-up projects have achieved outstanding results in the National Start-up Program such as the NANOSALT Salt project, DESTECH water purifier, or the development of a green circular product chain associated with the conservation of precious medicinal herbs... With continuous efforts, Nghe An has been ranked by the Ministry of Science and Technology in the top 5 localities with the best innovative entrepreneurship in the country, along with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Binh Duong.
