Mr. Vinh announced that VCCI was collaborating with some agencies to launch a trade and investment promotion delegation in the United States. The delegation would engage with leaders of some provinces, agencies, and leading Vietnamese companies that sought cooperation with the United States in export, technology, logistics, and other fields. He said that this was one of the most important activities in 2023 initiated by VCCI on the occasion of APEC Summit Week in San Francisco. It would also enhance their business cooperation with U.S. partners after the two countries upgraded their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

He added that VCCI would coordinate with the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles Commercial Service to organize the Vietnam-U.S. Business Meeting in Los Angeles on November 13. The trade promotion delegation would work with the Vietnam-U.S. Business Council in San Jose on November 14. Moreover, the delegation would attend some business activities within the framework of APEC Summit Week, work with leading American businesses in Silicon Valley, and pay working visits to some companies in Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Francisco. He noted that this was an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to meet with promotion agencies to seek investment opportunities and expand business scale in the United States as well as directly work with potential partners, importers, and distributors to promote their products and services. He requested Mr. Knapper to support connecting U.S. businesses to attend this event and other investment promotion events in the near future.

Ambassador Knapper acknowledged the impact of several programs and projects VCCI had implemented with U.S. agencies and businesses such as the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and SME Support Program. He stated that he would actively coordinate closely with Vietnamese central agencies and VCCI to maintain delegation exchanges and regular contacts at all levels and channels between the two countries to boost trade and investment in the coming time.
