VCCI and Auscham to boost business cooperation in the new context

The closer cooperation between Vietnam and Australia is expected to help Vietnamese enterprises further boost business ties with Australian partners.

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AusCham)’s Ha Noi Board Members and Australian business leaders met with the President of the VCCI Pham Tan Cong for formal introductions and discussions. The meeting gave AusCham, the Vietnam Australia Business Council, and VCCI representatives the opportunity to share their plans for 2022, support for the EEES, and strengthening of bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.

Mr. Jimmy Pham, AusCham Vice President expressed his wish that in the coming time, VCCI and Auscham will strengthen closer connections to jointly promote business activities of the business communities of the two sides. Mr. Jimmy also shared with VCCI about some of AusCham's outstanding activities in 2020 such as raising USD 300,000 to support hospitals and covid treatment centers in Vietnam, organizing an Australian education seminar with more than 300 visitors... 

To prepare for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam, AusCham is planning to organize a number of events in the near future. Therefore, Vice President Auscham also wishes to receive support and advice from VCCI to organize these events successfully.

VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong highly appreciated Australian businesses that have chosen Vietnam as an investment destination. He believes that Australian businesses have contributed a lot to the development of Vietnam as it is today. "VCCI is the representative of the business community, including both Vietnamese and foreign businesses doing business in Vietnam. So, VCCI always supports those who are investing and doing business in Vietnam", emphasized VCCI Chairman.

The VCCI Chairman expected that Australian businesses would bring not only new technologies but also business cultures to Vietnam. Besides, the Chairman of VCCI also shared his desire to improve the business culture for Vietnamese enterprises. 

"Vietnamese businesses need to go global, so they need to learn the best from foreign companies. With a vision that Vietnam will become a developed country in 2045, the Vietnamese business community also needs to reach the same level. Therefore, VCCI hopes that Vietnamese businesses can learn from Australian companies and create the best cooperation values", VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong added.
