STARTUP FESTIVAL 2024: Joining hands for a national startup ecosystem

With the goal of recognizing organizations and motivating them to continue contributing to Vietnam's startup ecosystem, VCCI has collaborated with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the National Startup Innovation Advisory Board to establish a council to select exemplary Localities and Universities that have built outstanding startup ecosystems in 2024. 

Firstly, for the title of Exemplary Locality for Building a Startup Ecosystem in 2024, the council has selected and congratulates the representatives from three regions of Vietnam: Cao Bang (North), Binh Dinh (Central), and Dong Thap (South).

Next, for the title of University for Building a Startup Ecosystem in 2024, the council has selected three institutions. Congratulations to Hong Duc University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry, and Central Vietnam College of Industry and Trade.

Particularly, the innovative startup ecosystem requires many networking activities to connect the elements that form the ecosystem. Therefore, the role of individuals—champions—is indispensable. Without them, it is impossible to attract resources and promote activities. These individuals are pioneers who lead startup support activities—they voluntarily dedicate themselves, give generously, and find happiness in contributing to society.

This year, the organizing committee also selected and unanimously honored the title of Mentor of the Year 2024, which was awarded to Ms. Huynh Hong Mai, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Startup Incubation Center (NIIC) at Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Co-Leader of the Design Thinking Village at the National Techfest.
