Hoàng Quang Phòng, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented the draft plan for organizing the “FDI Connect Forum 2026.”

According to the plan, the main forum will be held on April 24, 2026, at the Bắc Ninh Cultural and Sports Center, with around 600 delegates expected, including leaders of the Government, ministries, local authorities, embassies, international organizations, foreign business associations, as well as FDI enterprises and Vietnamese businesses. On April 25, 2026, the International Business Golf Tournament – FDI Connect 2026 will take place at Stone Highland Golf & Resort in Việt Yên, Bắc Ninh, aiming to strengthen networking between domestic and international business communities.

Speaking at the meeting, Hoàng Quang Phòng emphasized that the forum would serve as an important platform for dialogue and connection between the Government, localities, and both domestic and international business communities. In the context of VCCI actively promoting economic cooperation and business connectivity within the framework of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), hosting the forum in Bắc Ninh is expected to enhance linkages between Vietnamese localities and the APEC business network. VCCI also highlighted Bắc Ninh’s role as a regional hub for electronics and high-tech industries, expressing confidence that the event will strengthen connections between FDI enterprises and Vietnamese firms, thereby improving Vietnam’s position in global value chains.

Overview of the meeting.

From the local perspective, Phạm Văn Thịnh affirmed that Bắc Ninh is ready to closely coordinate with VCCI to successfully organize the forum. He noted that the province considers the business community, particularly FDI investors, as a key driver of economic growth and structural transformation. Co-organizing the forum will not only promote the local investment environment but also create opportunities for domestic and international businesses to meet, connect, and expand cooperation.

VCCI and the Bắc Ninh People’s Committee also aim to develop the forum into an annual event, contributing to the establishment of an effective platform for dialogue, cooperation, and connection among investors, enterprises, and government agencies.

Building on the Bắc Ninh forum, VCCI is also expected to organize a similar FDI connection forum in a southern locality in October 2026, thereby replicating the model and expanding the reach of investment connectivity activities nationwide.
