VCCI Can Tho launches handbook of investment and business in the Mekong Delta

On October 22, VCCI Can Tho organized the ceremony to launch the Q&A Handbook of Investment and Business in the Mekong Delta by online and in-person form.

Addressing this ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Lam, Director of VCCI Can Tho, said that the current regulations on administrative procedures are very difficult for businesses and investors to catch up opportunities in the Mekong Delta.

With the purpose of helping businesses, especially foreign investors, learn about investment opportunities in the Mekong Delta, VCCI Can Tho and the Mekong Delta Promotion Centers Club (Mekong PC) jointly published a Q&A handbook of business and investment in the Mekong Delta in Vietnamese-English.

This is the first Q&A manual in support of investment promotion activities. With its simple, easy-to-understand structure, the manual is of service to businesses that learn about the Mekong Delta for the first time or those that have embarked on setting up their investment projects. In the time to come, the publication will be updated periodically with investment and trade regulations and new policies to promptly serve the needs of businesses and local promotional activities.

“Hopefully this publication will help businesses, especially foreign investors, have a new approach, which is a Q&A document. The questions in this handbook resulted from works with investors in the past time,” emphasized Mr. Lam.

According to Mr. Lam, although this publication has been completed and published, it is still expected to receive comments from the business community, investors, etc., to contribute to the overall development of the Mekong Delta.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh, Deputy Director of VCCI Can Tho said that this publication has 7 parts, including an overview of Mekong Delta; advantages and distinct features of investment and in Mekong Delta; investment law; investment procedures; business establishment procedure; labors; incentive policies and taxes for investors.

This has been completed and released with two versions, including print version and ebook version, which is convenient for investors to refer to on computers and phones.
