VCCI Commits to Accompanying Hai Phong Businesses

This was emphasized by Nguyễn Quang Vinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) at the 1st Congress of the Hai Phong Business Association for the 2026–2031 term held recently.

The business community as a pioneering force

According to the VCCI Vice President, Hai Phong – the port city and northern gateway to the sea – has long held a strategic position in the country’s economic development, trade, and international integration. With its dynamic spirit, determination, and strong aspiration for growth, Hai Phong is increasingly asserting its role as a key growth pole and a national center for industry, logistics, and maritime services.

To achieve these accomplishments, the business community has played a central role. Enterprises are the pioneering force in innovation, digital transformation, green transition, market expansion, and enhancing the competitiveness of the port city.

In fact, throughout this development journey, the VCCI Vice President highly appreciated the role of the Hai Phong Business Association. The establishment of the Association is an inevitable step to unite, connect, and strengthen the local business community.

With the motto “Connection – Accompaniment – Sustainable Development,” the Association is expected to become a trusted bridge between businesses and authorities, as well as among businesses themselves. This will contribute to building a transparent, favorable, and sustainable investment and business environment while supporting the city’s GRDP growth.

Leaders of Hai Phong City and VCCI presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong Business Association for the first term (2026–2031).

Amid ongoing fluctuations in the global and regional economy, the Vietnamese business community in general and Hai Phong enterprises in particular are facing both opportunities and challenges. Effectively leveraging new-generation free trade agreements, accelerating digital transformation, improving governance quality, and pursuing sustainable development have become urgent requirements.

To jointly overcome these challenges, VCCI Vice President Nguyễn Quang Vinh emphasized:

“With its role as the national organization representing the business community, VCCI commits to always accompanying the Hai Phong Business Association in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises, while contributing to the development and improvement of policies and legal frameworks. At the same time, VCCI will support efforts to enhance corporate governance, promote digital and green transformation, and foster innovation. In addition, we will strengthen trade connectivity, investment promotion, and international integration.”

The VCCI Vice President also proposed that the first-term Executive Committee of the Association uphold a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and innovation. The Association should continue to develop practical and effective activity programs aligned with Resolution No. 57, Resolution No. 68, Resolution No. 79, among others, while actively listening to and reflecting the concerns and aspirations of its members.

“With the dynamic tradition and strong spirit of Hai Phong entrepreneurs, I firmly believe that the Hai Phong Business Association will grow strongly and contribute to building Hai Phong into a modern, civilized, and livable industrial city,” affirmed VCCI Vice President Nguyễn Quang Vinh.
