Senior Vice President Wolfgang Ringel introduced and shared TOMRA's 50 years of experience in developing modern, automated solutions and equipment for solid waste collection and segregation, maximizing collection rates, raising high scrap value (through a clean and close loop collection system), and minimizing plastic waste leakage into the environment.

He also expressed his desire to cooperate with VCCI to help Vietnam develop smart and effective integrated policies and solutions to foster a circular economy, especially promoting the implementation of the Extended Manufacturer Responsibility (EPR). Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh said that the experience and cooperation of international businesses, including those from Norway, is extremely important for Vietnamese enterprises to transform into green production.

Mr. Vinh hoped that in the near future TOMRA and other Norwegian businesses would join VBCSD's programs to support businesses in applying advanced technologies in waste treatment, promoting the implementation of EPR in Vietnam and also pledged that VCCI would strengthen support for Norwegian businesses in finding reputable partners in Vietnam, toward realizing the goal of green and sustainable economic recovery.
