VCCI Vice President Receives Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Nepal

VCCI Executive Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh received Mr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Nepal

The meeting was aimed to discuss promoting business and trade ties between Nepal and Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha said that the two countries have great potential to further strengthen cooperation in the coming time. Nepal imports electronic components, garments, shoes and seafood, and exports mainly food products to Vietnam. He wants to cooperate with VCCI in sending business delegations to attend exhibitions in Nepal and vice versa.

Mr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha also added that Nepal has many mountains with beautiful scenery. Recently, many Vietnamese Buddhists have traveled to Nepal. Nepalese businesses are interested in cooperating with Vietnamese businesses in tourism development.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh said that VCCI would coordinate with Nepal to invite Vietnamese enterprises to attend the exhibition in Nepal as well as Nepalese enterprises to attend the exhibition in Vietnam. He also said that import-export and tourism will be areas of cooperation with many prospects for bilateral cooperation, so the two sides need to study, discuss and deploy many activities to further develop the bilateral trade ties.
