VCCI Vung Tau Aligns with Party and State Policies on Economic and Business Development

On the occasion of the 19th Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day, October 13, VCCI Vung Tau organized a meeting to honor the achievements and contributions of the business community in the province.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Vo Tan Thanh - Vice President of VCCI, Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh - Vice Chairman of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh - Chairman of Vung Tau City People’s Committee, VCCI Vung Tau officials and many business representatives in the province.

As the country is deepening its international economic integration, the number and quality of businesses and entrepreneurs in the Southeast region have been increasing rapidly. This also poses greater challenges and demands for VCCI Vung Tau, which requires the branch’s leadership and staff to work harder and better to effectively support the development of the business community in the new era.

In 2023, VCCI Vung Tau has closely followed the Party and State policies on economic development and business development, as well as the resolutions of the Party and the Government on building a strong entrepreneur force, especially in the southern key economic region. The branch has also been a reliable representative and partner of the business community, employers and business associations in the Southeast region.

In the first nine months of 2023, VCCI Ba Ria-Vung Tau has implemented various activities to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of enterprises, such as organizing 12 thematic workshops for 2,150 participants and 45 training courses for 2,700 trainees; admitting 47 new member companies, bringing its total membership to nearly 400 companies; facilitating trade cooperation and supporting trade and investment promotion for partner delegations from Japan and Australia; and issuing more than 5,000 certificates of origin for goods and verifying other commercial documents filed by businesses.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, appreciated the efforts and achievements of the business community and businesspeople of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in overcoming difficulties and expanding business development. He also expressed his hope that they will continue to show their courage, solidarity, consensus and determination to overcome challenges together and cooperate with entrepreneurs nationwide to maintain, restore and develop business operations and strengthen the position and potential of the province.

On this occasion, VCCI Vung Tau signed cooperation agreements with strategic partners to provide more support for businesses and entrepreneurs; welcomed 47 new members and awarded certificates of merit from the VCCI President to 25 outstanding companies.
