Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul also expressed his hope that Vietnamese businesses would foster investment in Thailand, thereby promoting business connections, developing supply chains, and implementing strategic cooperation projects between the two countries.

"The potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand remains enormous in many areas. In the context of a volatile regional and global economy, increased linkages between the business communities of the two countries will contribute to expanding investment and trade and enhancing participation in regional and global supply chains," said Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul.

In addition, he also suggested that the two sides strengthen cooperation in highly complementary areas, enhance linkages between businesses and localities, promote sustainable development, and expand cooperation in technology and innovation sectors.

Assoc Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Hung, President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), delivered a speech at the program.

In his response, VCCI President Ho Sy Hung emphasized that the friendly cooperation relations between Vietnam and Thailand are developing increasingly deeply and appreciated the positive contributions of the Thai business community to Vietnam's socio-economic development.

According to the VCCI President, within the framework of ASEAN, Vietnam and Thailand have always been active members, working together towards the goal of building a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region.

For the Vietnamese business community, Thailand is not only an important partner but also a close friend in the region, where businesses from both sides can exchange, learn, and share experiences.

VCCI President Ho Sy Hung stated that Vietnam is entering a new phase of development with a focus on innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, and private sector development. In this process, Thailand is one of the partners with experience, capacity, and a long-term vision that Vietnam wishes to strengthen cooperation with.

From the perspective of the Vietnamese business community, VCCI President noted that there is still much room for cooperation between the two sides in key areas. In particular, the industry, infrastructure, and industrial park are considered potential areas for cooperation, as Thai businesses have extensive experience in these sectors.

In addition, agriculture, food, and beverages are areas where the two countries have many strengths that can complement each other, especially in deep processing, brand building, and expanding international markets.

In the retail, distribution, and logistics sectors, connections between businesses in the two countries are expected to contribute to expanding distribution systems, promoting the flow of goods, and improving the efficiency of the supply chain. In addition, clean energy, sustainable development, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation are also considered promising areas for future cooperation.

In VCCI President's opinion, cooperation between Vietnamese and Thai businesses needs to be elevated to a new level, not just limited to trade, but moving towards broader forms of cooperation such as investment, joint ventures, supply chain development, technology transfer, and joint exploitation of regional and international markets.

Thai businesses have strengths in capital, technology, and distribution networks, while Vietnamese businesses possess advantages in a dynamic market, a young workforce, and broad access to international markets through free trade agreements (FTAs). The combination of these advantages will create many mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities for the business communities of both countries.

VCCI President pledged that VCCI would continue to support businesses in both countries by coordinating with the Thai Embassy in Vietnam, investment promotion agencies, business associations, and relevant partners to facilitate business connections, promote policy dialogue, and create favorable conditions for investment and business activities.

The VCCI President also expressed his desire for more in-depth networking programs in areas such as supporting industries, logistics, green energy, processed food, digital transformation, and innovation to promote cooperation projects between businesses of the two countries.

On this occasion, Mr. Ho Sy Hung respectfully extended an invitation to the Prime Minister of Thailand, the Thai business community, and ABAC Thailand to participate in the activities of APEC Year 2027 hosted by Vietnam, including the APEC CEO Summit and the Dialogue between APEC Economic Leaders and ABAC. He affirmed that the participation and support of the Thai Government and business community will significantly contribute to the success of APEC 2027, while also creating further impetus to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.
