A path to the brillance of "Golden Rose" award
A twenty-year journey affirmed the resilience and position of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs in the years of integration, fostering the brillance of

Women-led enterprises are putting more emphasis on the welfare of their workers and creating workplaces that are equitable, adaptable, and compassionate.
VCCI launched the esteemed Golden Rose Award for Outstanding Vietnamese Women Entrepreneurs in 2005. This is the only national award that recognizes female entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the economic and social growth of the nation and who have achieved exceptional success in business and manufacturing.
Elevating the position of female entrepreneurs
The "Golden Rose" award has evolved over the last 20 years into a noble symbol for compassion, resilience, and wisdom—three outstanding characteristics of Vietnamese women in the era of integration. Each honored female entrepreneur is a witness to the spirit of innovation, the bravery to think and act, and the contribution to the business community. The 2025 "Golden Rose" award, in particular, adequately exemplifies the values of business ethics and culture, which are a new strength for Vietnamese companies and a basis for the long-term growth of Vietnamese companies and female entrepreneurs.
The humanistic values that VCCI continuously upholds—encouraging women to advance their skills as managers, create new ideas, and cultivate Vietnamese business culture—are the source of the "Golden Rose" award's ongoing vitality. In addition to being an honor, each title awarded serves as a source of inspiration for thousands of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs, inspiring pride, igniting their drive to make a difference, and cultivating a feeling of social responsibility.
There has been a discernible change in Vietnamese women entrepreneurs' management and leadership perspectives in recent years. In addition to being prosperous businesspeople, they are value creators who are transforming how people think and work to accomplish sustainable development in a world that is unstable.
Vietnamese women entrepreneurs now think about leadership in a way that goes far beyond the paradigm of "effective governance" to embrace "humanistic governance," which is in line with the objectives of inclusive and sustainable development. In addition to effectively managing their companies, many female entrepreneurs are trailblazers in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) practices, actively engaging in digital transformation, circular economy, and green economy efforts. Since company progress must coexist with employee satisfaction and societal benefits, businessmen and businesswomen have prioritized people, the environment, and communities in economic development.
Women-led enterprises are putting more emphasis on the welfare of their workers and creating workplaces that are equitable, adaptable, and compassionate. More significantly, they view social value—rather than merely philanthropic endeavors—as an integral component of their commercial strategy. Qualities that are exclusive to women, such as sensitivity, subtlety, and listening skills, are evolving into soft power that enables companies to be more innovative and adapt more quickly.
Vietnamese women entrepreneurs nowadays have a leadership mindset that is motivated by values in addition to profit. They shape the future in addition to managing their company.
Sustainable community responsibility
The 2025 "Golden Rose" award, which has been given out nine times and honored 589 female entrepreneurs, will follow the 2022 Law on Emulation and Commendation, reinforcing the significance of female entrepreneurs in the growth of the private sector, which is a key engine of the Vietnamese economy. The "Golden Rose" award has been popular for almost 20 years, serving as a symbol of promoting values and fostering generations of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs who are self-assured, kind, unwavering, and pioneers in the process of developing a prosperous and happy country.
The Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) under the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), serves as a bridge for promoting the development of the women entrepreneurs community. Besides its role in connecting and enhancing the leadership and management capacity of women-owned enterprises, the VWEC also promotes women-owned businesses' participation in sustainable value chains, green and digital transformation, and responsible business practices.
I think more extensive and substantial policies will be required to institutionalize gender equality policies in business, including giving women-owned enterprises priority access to financing, markets, and technology, in order to improve their position and competitiveness. To create the conditions for women-owned businesses to fully integrate into the global supply chain, it is also necessary to conduct research and put policies into place that support gender-responsive procurement, encourage women-owned businesses to practice responsible business in line with ESG standards, and support the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
The "Outstanding Vietnamese Female Entrepreneurs - Golden Rose" award, which honors and encourages Vietnamese women entrepreneurs to consistently innovate, grow sustainably, and claim their place in the economy, should be viewed as a soft policy tool.
Since 2005, VCCI has organized the selection and awarding of the "Outstanding Vietnamese Female Entrepreneur - Golden Rose Cup" in collaboration with pertinent ministries, sectors, localities, and organizations. This award has been reviewed and given out by VCCI every three years since 2010 in compliance with Prime Minister's Decision No. 51/2010/QD-TTG, which issued the Regulations on the Management of the Organization for the Review and Awarding of Titles and Prizes to Entrepreneurs and Enterprises. The purpose of this award is to honor Vietnamese women entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the socioeconomic development of their nation and who have achieved remarkable success in business and production. |
