The VCCI President said that women entrepreneurs are standing at an important crossroads: either remain in traditional roles, or make breakthroughs to rise higher and become a pioneering force in a new era.

The Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2025, with the theme “Women Entrepreneurs Rising in the New Era,” was organized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on the morning of October 22.
The Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2025, with the theme “Women Entrepreneurs Rising in the New Era,” was organized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on a meaningful occasion—celebrating Viet Nam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) and Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).
The “Golden Moment” to Break Through
In his opening remarks at the Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2025, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, VCCI President, shared that in recent times, the Politburo has issued four Resolutions that are considered fundamental institutional pillars, creating strong momentum to drive the country forward in the new era. Among them is Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology and innovation, which is being actively implemented across all sectors and within the business community.

Quoting General Secretary To Lam, who affirmed that “science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are the golden keys — the vital factors to overcome the middle-income trap and the risk of falling behind, while realizing the nation’s aspiration for strength and prosperity,” the VCCI President stated that for the Vietnamese business community—especially for women-owned enterprises — this is the golden moment to make breakthroughs, to seize the trends of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, to improve competitiveness and affirm their position in the global value chain.
At present, women-owned enterprises account for nearly 25% of the total number of enterprises in Viet Nam—an impressive rate within ASEAN. Women-owned and women-managed businesses not only contribute to the national budget and create jobs for millions of workers but also bring distinctive values: humanistic thinking, perseverance, a spirit of innovation, and a pioneering will. When these qualities are connected with science, technology, and innovation, they create a synergistic strength that helps Vietnamese women entrepreneurs rise to regional and global levels.
VCCI President Pham Tan Cong emphasized that the Women Entrepreneurs Forum is an annual event organized by VCCI, dedicated to the community of women entrepreneurs nationwide.

Rising in the New Era
In 2025, the Forum was held under the theme “Women Entrepreneurs Rising in the New Era,” reflecting the aspiration for innovation, creativity, and breakthroughs of women entrepreneurs in the context of Viet Nam’s deep international integration, where enterprises must flexibly adapt to the challenges of the global market and the demands of sustainable development.
According to Mr. Pham Tan Cong, in that context, Vietnamese women entrepreneurs are standing at an important crossroads: either remain within traditional roles or make breakthroughs to rise higher and become a pioneering force in the era of science, technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
“In this era, ‘rising’ is not only about expanding scale or markets, but also a journey to elevate knowledge, technological capacity, management mindset, and global integration capability. It is about proactively going beyond current limits to reach new heights in quality, value and influence. ‘Rising’ also reflects a humanistic leadership mindset — the ability to apply technology and artificial intelligence harmoniously, to develop enterprises without losing the balance between economic, social and human values,” the VCCI Chairman shared.
He also affirmed that this is precisely the spirit of this year’s Forum — a space for us to discuss solutions, directions and lessons learned from success stories and breakthroughs in the application of science, technology, artificial intelligence and innovation — thereby turning knowledge into value, and transforming corporate culture into the identity and competitiveness of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs.

As the national organization representing the Vietnamese business community, the VCCI President affirmed that VCCI has always been a trusted companion and a strong bridge between the business community, the Party and State, and international partners. “In the new era, VCCI’s development is guided by three strategic pillars,” Mr. Pham Tan Cong affirmed.
Specifically:
- Policy advice and advocacy to create a favorable and fair business environment that encourages enterprise development, including women-owned businesses.
- Enterprise support to help businesses improve competitiveness, promote the application of science, technology, and innovation, and pursue green and sustainable development.
- International linkages and integration to connect Vietnamese entrepreneurs with global business networks, expanding opportunities for market access and international resources.
Also according to the VCCI President, consistent with its mission to promote the development of women-owned and women-managed enterprises, the Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Council, under the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has always accompanied the community of women entrepreneurs on their development journey. This is not only a platform for connection and solidarity among women entrepreneurs but also a source for spreading knowledge, sharing experience, and inspiring innovation and humanistic values within the community of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs.
