The National Assembly approved the proposal to appoint 6 Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the Government

Before proceeding with the procedures for approving the appointment of Government members, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution on the structure and number of Government members. The result showed that 489 out of 489 participating delegates voted in favor (100% of the National Assembly delegates present and 97.80% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Based on the list of nominees submitted by the Prime Minister, the National Assembly discusses and approves the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and other members of the Government through a secret ballot. Subsequently, it votes to adopt resolutions approving the appointments of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and other members of the Government using an electronic voting system.

Accordingly, with 484 out of 485 delegates participating in the vote (equivalent to 96.30% of the total number of National Assembly delegates) voting in favor, the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint six Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2026-2031 term: Mr. Pham Gia Tuc, Mr. Phan Van Giang, Mrs. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, and Mr. Le Tien Chau.

At the same time, the National Assembly also approved the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint 17 ministers and members of the Government for the 2026-2031 term:

- Minister of National Defence: General Phan Văn Giang

- Minister of Public Security: General Luong Tam Quang

- Minister of Foreign Affairs: Le Hoai Trung

- Minister of Home Affairs: Do Thanh Binh

- Minister of Justice: Hoang Thanh Tung

- Minister of Finance: Ngo Van Tuan

- Minister of Industry and Trade: Le Manh Hung

- Minister of Agriculture and Environment: Trinh Viet Hung

- Minister of Construction: Tran Hong Minh

- Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Lam Thi Phuong Thanh

- Minister of Science and Technology: Vu Hai Quan

- Minister of Education and Training: Hoang Minh Son

- Minister of Health: Dao Hong Lan

- Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religion: Nguyen Dinh Khang

- Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam: Pham Duc An

- Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate: Nguyen Quoc Doan

- Minister and Head of the Government Office: Dang Xuan Phong
