VCCI continues restructuring, clarifies its mission in the new context

Amid the Lunar New Year celebrations across the country, the Party Committee, Standing Board, and Trade Union of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a celebration for Binh Ngo 2026 Lunar New Year on February 23.

On the morning of February 23, the Party Committee, Standing Board, and Trade Union of VCCI organized the Binh Ngo 2026 Lunar New Year meeting.

Party Committee Secretary and President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Ho Sy Hung, thanked all officers and employees for their contributions to VCCI's overall achievements in 2025 in his remarks outlining tasks and wishing all VCCI employees a happy Lunar New Year.

According to the VCCI President, the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo has begun, and 2026 carries special significance for the nation’s mission, as extensive preparations for a new stage of development—one characterized by greater proactivity—were carefully undertaken over the past year and in recent months.

“We have witnessed very strong changes in organizational work, the institutional system, management mechanisms, and legislation. Never before have more than 120 laws and National Assembly resolutions were passed within a single year… These have laid the foundation and created momentum for a period of robust development and for the goals recently set by the 14th National Party Congress,” the VCCI President stated.

He added that 2026 is also a crucial year for VCCI—not only to align itself with the country’s overall development trajectory, but also to undertake internal restructuring, clearly define its mission in the new context, and establish new mechanisms for governance and operations that are better suited to current realities.

VCCI President Ho Sy Hung and members of the Standing Board also presented New Year greetings and lucky money to staff.

“In 2026, we celebrate gaining another year—we have matured further, gained another year of experience, and strengthened our resilience. I expect that in 2026 we will demonstrate even greater determination. Each of us will perform our professional duties better, drawing on the experience we have accumulated, making stronger and more effective choices and decisions based on what we have learned over the past year, thereby contributing more to VCCI’s success in 2026. In the context of both the country and VCCI, and following the logic of growth and continuity as mentioned, I wish VCCI and all its officers and employees a New Year of ‘swift and complete success’—where every step leads to victory and every effort brings achievement,” the VCCI President emphasized.

VCCI President Ho Sy Hung and members of the Standing Board performed the ceremonial drum-beating ritual to welcome the Lunar New Year.

At the ceremony, VCCI President Ho Sy Hung and members of the Standing Board performed the traditional drum-beating ritual to open the new spring. This symbolic act marks the beginning of a lunar new year. The resounding drumbeats not only usher in a year of good fortune but also serve as a call to unity, a spirit of action, and a shared aspiration for dedication and breakthrough achievements.
