VCCI General Secretary Tran Thi Lan Anh welcomed the Korean delegation and expressed her appreciation for their interest in the Vietnamese market. She said that despite the economic challenges in 2023, Vietnam has achieved steady growth and development. She also emphasized that Vietnamese businesses are eager to expand their cooperation with international partners, especially Korean firms.

Mr. Park Che Khun introduced the Korean businesses in the delegation, which operate in diverse fields such as functional foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, health care, smart construction, logistics, energy, environment and IT. Acknowledging the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea in 2022, Mr. Park Che Khun emphasized the significance of previous collaborative endeavors. The partnership between the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has fostered valuable exchanges of information and experiences within both nations’ business communities.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh highlighted the role of VCCI as the representative of the Vietnamese business community, which participates in consulting and advocating for policies that support businesses. She said that VCCI maintains a close collaboration with the National Assembly, ministries, local branches and other stakeholders to create a favorable business environment for businesses.

She also mentioned that VCCI organizes trade and investment promotion programs for both Vietnamese and foreign business delegations to explore business opportunities and expand markets in Vietnam. She said that these direct visits and working sessions are very effective, as they allow businesses to understand each other’s needs and propose to the Government solutions to improve the business environment.

In addition to the above activities, VCCI also provides direct services to businesses, such as trade and investment promotion, human resource training, and information provision. She said that the fields of health care, smart devices and other sectors that the Korean businesses are operating in are of great interest and potential for cooperation with Vietnamese businesses.

“VCCI is willing to support and facilitate the Korean businesses to achieve the best results from this working trip. VCCI will also provide information and seek opportunities to help businesses from both sides cooperate in the future. We hope that the cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese businesses will continue to be effective and fruitful,” VCCI General Secretary Tran Thi Lan Anh concluded.
