On August 23 in Ha Noi, the final round of the Viet Nam Blockchain Talent Search Contest (VietChain Talents 2025) took place with 16 outstanding entries. Organised on the occasion of the nationwide celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the contest aimed to contribute another voice and activity reaffirming confidence in Vietnamese intellect, with the aspiration to conquer technology, master technology, and the pioneering spirit of youth.

The contest received support and companionship from many state management agencies such as: the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Home Affairs… along with more than 100 media agencies and partner organisations such as: Nami Foundation, BiGod, OKX, Sotatek, Spores Network, Amnis Finance...

Major General, Dr Ho Van Huong, Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee, said that from the early stages of preparation to the final round, the Government Cipher Committee, together with the Viet Nam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association, 1Matrix Company, and partner agencies, organisations and enterprises, had created the best possible conditions for contestants to test themselves, to gain experience, and, most importantly, to affirm themselves.

“This is also evidence of the value of multi-stakeholder cooperation: the State provides the legal framework and strategic direction for development; enterprises bring resources, markets and opportunities for implementation; social organisations and professional associations act as bridges, spreading value; and young people are the centre, the driving force to turn knowledge into initiatives, and ideas into real value,” said Huong.

After intense and excellent rounds of competition, followed by careful consideration and discussion, the Jury selected four outstanding entries to win the First Prize in each theme.

Colonel, Dr Hoang Van Thuc, Director of the Academy of Cryptography Techniques under the Government Cipher Committee and a member of the Jury, assessed that the projects demonstrated diversity: not only focusing on finance – traditionally considered the “meeting point” of blockchain – but also boldly expanding into core areas of sustainable social value such as healthcare, education, and many community services. This diversity proved that blockchain is not limited to exchanges or financial products, but can truly become a technological infrastructure that helps transform human life for the better.

Alongside the main prizes, Tether also selected the most outstanding projects to award the “Stablecoin Application Initiative” prize worth a total of 250 million VND. The five chosen projects were: Loragon, MSB TrustChain, Hashwei Foundation, Bamboo Team, and WhiteBlue Labs.

“This year’s contestants have shown exceptional courage. The contest is not only about discovering talent but also affirms the creativity and straightforward debating spirit of Viet Nam’s young generation in the field of blockchain and digital assets,” said Nguyen Van Hien, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Association, and Head of the Organising Committee.

Also at the final, SotaTek Viet Nam Technology Joint Stock Company awarded the “Technology Launchpad” prize worth a total of 250 million VND to the Loragon team.

In addition to the main prize categories decided by the Jury, the contest also featured the “Community Impact” Award, a special prize given to the MSB TrustChain team – the team that received the most affection, votes and influence from the community throughout the competition.

The final also devoted a special moment to honour the Top 16 outstanding teams that had entered the last round. These were the faces that overcame hundreds of entries from across the country, demonstrating pioneering spirit, creativity, and tireless effort throughout their journey in the contest.

Tran Viet Hung, former Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee and Senior Advisor to the Viet Nam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association, remarked that the organisation of the contest was extremely practical. It was a concrete step towards realising the Party and State’s guidelines and policies on promoting science and technology, fostering innovation, contributing to the building of high-quality human resources, and creating momentum for the rapid and sustainable growth of the country in the new stage.
