Masan High-Tech Materials’ tungsten products are awarded as “Vietnam Golden Product 2022”

The Representative of Masan High-Tech Materials Joint Stock Company received the double award: “Vietnam's Top 50 Leading Brands 2022” and “Golden Product 2022”

On 16 July 2022, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association organized the Award Ceremony for Vietnamese leading trademarks and Vietnamese golden products and services in 2022. At the ceremony, Masan High-Tech Materials Corporation (“Masan High-Tech Materials” or “MHT”) was the only representative in the high-tech materials sector honorably awarded “Vietnam's Top 50 Leading Brands 2022” and “Golden Product 2022”.

The Program aims at encouraging businesses, organizations, and individuals who have actively worked to provide innovative products and high-quality services for the market, positively influencing national economic growth and strengthening Vietnamese brands’ market position on the world’s economic map.

“Vietnam's Top 50 Leading Brands 2022” and “Golden Product 2022”

MHT's Tungsten chemical products including APT, YTO, BTO are recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as industrial products with a purity of over 99%. This places Masan High-Tech Materials among the few tungsten suppliers outside of China having direct connection with a resourceful base, enabling the business to go downstream and turn Vietnam’s strategic tungsten resources into higher value tungsten chemicals.

In a recent collaboration project between Masan High-Tech Materials and the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) in Germany, the high-tech tungsten products produced by Masan High-Tech Materials are tested to apply in tungsten-based cathode coatings in lithium-ion batteries to improve performance and safety in batteries. Initial research results showed that this coating is suitable for some tungsten precursors. The two units have implemented the first coating tests and will plan to do electrochemical investigations in the next stage.

Beyond the battery technology, Masan High-Tech Materials recently announced the signing of definitive agreements to invest into Nyobolt Limited, a fast-charging Lithium-ion battery solutions company headquartered in the United Kingdom. Using high-tech tungsten materials of Masan High-Tech Materials for anode coating, Lithium-ion batteries manufactured by Nyobolt achieves record-breaking high-power density and ultra-fast charging. This breakthrough step will create new innovations in the design of fast-charging batteries, extending batteries’ capacity and lifespan.
