Spreading corporate cultural values and social responsibility

By aligning economic interests with social responsibility and placing culture and reputation at the core of their values, businesses can achieve sustainable development.

VCCI President Ho Sy Hung and Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization Phan Xuan Thuy present certificates to the Top 20 highest-ranked exemplary enterprises.

At the announcement ceremony of the “Cultural and Reputable Enterprises 2025” selection and ranking program, held under the direction of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), VCCI President Ho Sy Hung stressed that the event is particularly meaningful as it honors a force playing an increasingly important role in the economy from multiple evaluative perspectives—namely, the business community. The event also touches upon a domain that all organizations, enterprises and individuals aspire to achieve at a high level: culture and reputation.

During Vietnam’s national development journey, the Vietnamese business community has continued to grow in both scale and quality, making significant contributions to economic growth, job creation and social stability. Alongside this growth, greater emphasis has been placed on recognizing the value and role of building business culture and corporate identity.

The honored enterprises are exemplary models, playing pioneering roles and generating strong spillover effects within Vietnam’s business community.

Business culture is an integral component of national culture, reflecting a country’s identity, values and level of economic development at different stages. The consistent policy of the Party and the State is that economic development must go hand in hand with cultural development, with culture positioned alongside economics, politics and society.

According to the VCCI President, in a new development phase marked by deeper international integration and rising sustainability requirements, fostering business ethics and business culture has become a long-term strategic task. Vietnam’s goal of becoming a developed country by 2045 requires a community of entrepreneurs and enterprises whose ethical standards and business culture are on par with regional and global benchmarks.

Leaders from the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization, VCCI, and relevant ministries and agencies attend the announcement ceremony of the “Cultural and Reputable Enterprises 2025” rankings.

The “Cultural and Reputable Enterprises 2025” program was launched by VCCI to translate into practice key Party resolutions on building the business community in the new era, while promoting business ethics, legal compliance, transparency, social responsibility and environmental protection.

According to the Organizing Committee, 264 enterprises submitted applications to participate in the program. Based on preliminary scoring, 100 applications that best met the criteria were shortlisted for evaluation by the Selection Council.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh, Secretary General of VCCI, and Mr. Phan Hong Giang, Head of VCCI’s Organization and Personnel Department, present certificates to the honored enterprises.

Based on the Council’s independent and objective assessments, 68 enterprises with qualifying total scores were ranked and proposed for recognition, ensuring transparency and clear justification. The top 20 highest-ranked enterprises were awarded Certificates of Merit by the VCCI President.

VCCI leaders emphasized that the honored enterprises, which place reputation and culture at the core of their values, have created differentiation and competitive advantages in both domestic and international markets, strengthened social trust, and achieved sustainable growth amid international integration. They also expressed the hope that these enterprises will not only maintain their achievements but continue to spread best practices, highlighting the competitive strengths derived from long-term investment in ethics, culture and reputation within the business community and society.

From a corporate perspective, Ly Ngoc Minh, Chairman of the Members’ Council of Minh Long I Co., Ltd., shared that over 55 years of formation and development, Minh Long has consistently upheld a business culture based on two core principles: excellence and transparency. This means delivering the best possible products while operating in a transparent manner.

These foundational values have helped the company build its brand and establish credibility in both domestic and international markets. “Culture and reputation must develop in parallel. Without either of these two essential foundations, it is difficult for a business to grow sustainably over the long term,” Mr. Ly Ngoc Minh affirmed.

The “Cultural and Reputable Enterprises 2025” announcement ceremony is a key activity within a broader series of programs directed by VCCI to promote business ethics and foster a strong business culture across Vietnam’s corporate sector. By recognizing and honoring exemplary enterprises, the program aims to help build a Vietnamese business community that is not only economically strong but also ethically grounded, socially responsible, and worthy of being a pillar of the national economy and a source of national pride.

On this foundation, the program will continue in 2026, ensuring continuity and progressive quality improvement, thereby contributing to affirming the competence, integrity and reputation of Vietnamese entrepreneurs on their journey toward global integration and making meaningful contributions to the goal of building a prosperous, happy and sustainably developed nation.
